Silver Jewellery question by Spica *: How do I get back the black stuff on silver jewellery?
I bought a silver crown pendent from ‘bits and pieces’ shop.
It had black colouring in the crevices and I thought it was tarnished and dirty. so i soaked it in silver cleaner and now the black stuff is removed, but it’s kind of ugly.
The thing is, how do I get back the black stuff?

Well the black stuff is oxidation, silver eventually tarnishes. So the best thing to do is leave it alone and eventually the whole piece will darken, then you clean the surfaces leaving the crevices alone. You will restore the patina this way.
